Connecting Michigan for Health 2015 (June 3-5, 2015)
The Michigan Chapter of HIMSS is proud to be a Gold Level Sponsor of the MiHIN Connecting Michigan for Health 2015 conference, June 3-5, in our State Capitol, Lansing. This event marks our 7th year (2009-2015) of state-wide collaboration on HIE/HIT advocacy and public policy events with all major healthcare stakeholders. (We started with our Michigan Day on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., Sept.24-25, 2009.)
We look forward to seeing our members on Wednesday when Michigan Governor Rick Snyder and Director of Health and Human Services Nick Lyon open the 3-day conference!
The event has grown each year since its beginning, and has become a popular meeting place for healthcare leaders from other states. Our 2014 conference had more than 300 attendees and 50 speakers. Over the course of three days, conference attendees heard from healthcare leaders about issues faced by statewide and national HIT and HIE efforts, gaining insight into current best practices and coming developments within the electronic health information sector that are aligning quality programs to improve health outcomes in the state of Michigan and throughout the nation.
Attendees will interact and network with influential health information technology professionals, clinicians, health care leaders and decision makers, members of the state government, representatives of commercial health plans, and leading vendors. Presentations, discussions, panels and forums involving thought leaders in healthcare provide a unique opportunity to continue improving collaboration and knowledge sharing across the diverse group of health organizations in attendance.
